“Smith's vocals are soulful, jazzy, and twangy, when paired with a mixture of whimsical, to heart-moving, and catchy lyrics from ballads to rock with some funk, it's a win win situation.”
“THE DRUMS THROUGHOUT THE SONG IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. THE VOCALS BRING A REAL RASPY SOUND TO IT ALL. THE TEMPO AND BEAT IS JUST PERFECT FOR THIS TYPE GENRE OF SONG. I CAN FEEL HER HEARTACHE AND WHAT SHE IS SINGING ABOUT ”
“I love this singer's voice! This song was a pleasant surprise for a Christian song. It has a really bluesy feel and is soulful. Musicians are talented and the writing is good, too. Well done! ”
“I liked this song. I would like to see this song performed live. I can imagine this track having a large following and a lot of fans. ”
“The artist's vocal performance is extremely entertaining. I enjoyed the guitar part as well, but it was the vocals and the lyrics that are so compelling and memorable. ”
Debut Album: Choose to Believe
Sometimes it’s easy to lose faith when we are going through very dark times, but when we lean on the Lord, trust in Him, He will give us strength, and will turn the darkness into light. Rock up the Hill formed in 2016, releasing February 14, 2018, their debut album “Choose to Believe.” We've played at large venues such as So CAL Fair, and The Mission Inn's Festival of Lights, and small venues such as weddings, and churches. Rock up the Hill means rock n’roll up to Calvary’s Hill, and to have faith like a rock in Jesus. We carry our heavy crosses (rocks) up the hill of life to Calvary’s Hill united in song and offer them to Jesus, and He will give us the grace to carry them. It’s our mission to help others find the light in the darkness of their lives, because God is always there. Everyone has a choice to choose the light or to stay in the dark. All the songs in this album involve having to “Choose Right Over Wrong.”
